The Villa Santi Hotel was established since 1992 by a Lao businessman Mr. Santi Inthavong who married a former royal princess, the hotel was renovated from the former royal mansion and had been operated as a family hotel with 25 rooms, it is situated in the heart of Luang Prabang's World Heritage Site, only a block away from the Nam Khan River and the Mekong, and only a few doorsteps to many sight seeing places such as ancient temples, the former Royal Palace and the Mont Phousy. The boutique hotel is commonly known as the one of the most charming place to visit when coming to Luang Prabang.
   

In 2001 the Santi Resort & Spa has been constructed 6 km way from the original Villa Santi Hotel. The boutique hotel resort sits in a 10 hectare valley, beautifully lanscaped with streams leading to the Mekong River. The whole site is surrounded by mountains, hills and terraced rice fields. The resort features 52 luxury rooms.

Early 2001, Mr. Inthavong appointed a professional hotel team to run the two operations. The management team has implemented a new direction for the company, developing it from a successful family business to be the country's leading boutique hotel and resort.

Our objectives include being the landmark of Luang Prabang, a place where visitors have to come to experience the real royal Lao atmosphere and charming Lao hospitality.

The Villa Santi Hotel has been renovated in the middle of 2001 and all facilities upgraded to meet the standard of an international luxury boutique hotel.

The Santi Resort & Spa is due to open in March 2002. The resort features 52 deluxe rooms including suites and villas complemented with luxurious amenities and royal Lao theme decor.
